Back home

This is how it looked this morning in South Florida when I wanted to buy some items for my trip back home. The parking lot in front of the store was entirely flooded after yesterday's heavy rainfall thanks to storm Isaac. This wasn't the only place that was under water. I wished I had my camera handy and not packed. There were so many interesting photo opportunities!
During the 10 hour drive unfortunately I had to pass numerous car accidents, most likely caused by the rain and wet roads.
Thankfully I made it home safely and I hope that Isaac will not cause too many problems in other areas..

Florida - Storm Isaac

I had planned to be back in North Carolina attending another baby shower, instead I am still in South Florida waiting for storm Isaac to disappear. We are not in it's immediate path, even further away than expected. But it is raining hard and the winds are very strong, you don't want to be outside.
It looks like I have to stay at least until Tuesday before the weather gets better and hopefully I will not have to deal with any of Isaac's effects on my 10 hour drive home.

Baby Crochet

Today we had a baby shower for my daughter and her friend.
Both are excited to have their babies in a couple of weeks.
Her friend is expecting a girl and she loves everything purple for the little one.
I think she really liked the hat and the two pairs of shoes (a girl can never have enough shoes)
which I crocheted for her baby.
It was a lot of fun to work with a different yarn on a different project.
I wish everybody a wonderful new week!
