The weekend was nice and I got to plant some flowers and do some gardening.
I also got to make 2 new bears, this time not from thread but from mohair fabric that was still tucked away in a trunk. I had purchased it at a Euro-Teddy Show in Germany with the intention to transform it into a bear. It was actually a lot of fun to see these 2 little guys coming to life. They look similar and will make nice gifts for my twin nieces.
You can see one in the picture with "Cool" who just got listed on ebay. If you would like to visit the auction, here is the link:
After enjoying some beautiful warmer days filled with sunshine I finally got some pictures taken of my newest bearkidz mini named "Cool". After he was finished, I needed a name since I wanted to name all of my bearkidz minis starting in 2010. At first I wasn't sure what to name this colorful funny guy. When having a closer look, he "told" me his name: Cool. Cool stands about 6 1/2 inches tall and is crocheted from yellow and red eyelash yarn with needle felted face. He is proudly wearing his crocheted hat and his wooden bead necklace. He will be available through my website: www.bearkidz.com.
